FOR FARTHER INFORMATION :

Alright…I am going to make an EOtech weapon sight from hardened paper!
I am curious about the outcome 🙂 It will be built the same way as a real one but with slight material modifications. Hope the result will be the same, meaning that the reticle will be projected on your 3D view.

  1. What you're building is Not a holographic sight. A holographic sight requires a laser because only a laser can produce a hologram. What you're building is a red dot sight.

  2. Hurry up … I wanna see it finished and when your done pleaseee give explicit details and instructions on how you made it, and tell us where you got all the parts from pleasee

  3. Other you need to use a small red 5mw laser diode from a toy with a slight filter on the optics part or use a lens to focus your led. I wold start with a moc up drawing on some wood or styrofoam and place your mirrors on it an try the led and diode and see what works. Also if the laser is to bright you could always stick a potentiomiter in it.

  4. I understand your points. But mirrors dubble up the amount of light so I learned that it makes a LED even stronger after distance. And I do it will stay on target cause this set-up is the exact same as a real one. SO there is any failure it's wrong mirror angles or the light is indeed to weak to reach the glass. BUT we will see 😉 …

  5. Well yeah me to! I want to keep it a rather quick project cause it's boring for you to see nothing for long periods with little progress. I think it is going to be very cool!

  6. 2) I don't think it will stay on target, becuz yes,it is a light source, but it won't focus in to your eye,so that in different angle, you can't see it keep on target, and my friend done some like that 2,he let the light reflex from the LED to the eye thru da mirror (the glass put in 45 deg)

  7. Dude,i think ACEGR1 was rite
1/ You going to use LED,wich it not strong enough 2 reflex 2 many time like that, and u still see it on the glass surface
And if u use LASER,u may lost ur eye, even with a 50mW laser toy still can damage ur cells only in 30 seconds

  8. The laser is very different, laser light have no huge need for focus , is more cut edging light , when an LED is rather smooth.

Try it out and you will understand
