Yesterday, Governor Brad Little signed important self-defense legislation, House Bill 206, into law. House Bill 206 would lower the age of Idaho’s permitless carry laws from 21 to 18. This important legislation would allow those adults aged 18 and older who are legally allowed to carry a firearm for self-defense, to do so within city limits without having to pay fees and obtain a government-issued license to do so. Current law allows permitless concealed carry by those 18 years and above outside of the city limits.
Thank you to NRA Members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted their lawmakers in support of this important self-defense legislation. Also, special thank you to Governor Little and the sponsors for supporting this bill!
