  1. Brother from another mother!
    Cheap-scopeitis, got it! Hell,
I never bought one at all until I was almost 50 and then it's just because I now got that post 40 can't see the sights right for shit anymore thing going on. It was funny I had never even mentioned to the eye doc yet anything about being a shooter and that I can't get my eyes and the sights to work together right anymore when after his exam he started splaining my deal and at the end he said, "no worries, I can fix all your problems, the only people with your problem that I can't help are shooters and pool (billiards) players… what!? And when I told him I'm a shooter he said you're just going to need to put scopes on your rifles, so I acquiesced.
But I still don't believe in putting big money into a scope, that's just not what I need and there are too many nice enough inexpensive scope options to do what I need, besides I'm CHEAP.
But, I will confess that I have been attracted to the Nikon stuff, I've just been too cheap to buy one, plus I like simplicity! I don't want to get overwhelmed with all this 'tacticool' crap that all these companies want to throw on/in a scope to appeal to people's ego and charge them hundreds or thousands of dollars for stuff I don't want or need, and will need to go get a postgrad degree to figure out how to use.
But you have got me looking at this scope! I like Nikon and it looks pretty simple to use.
I very much liked this down to Earth simple review too. I almost never click on scope (especially tactical scope) reviews but once I did I thought you had made this one for me!
    Thanks.

  2. I have a couple of Nikon’s M Series scopes. The turrets have the same etched numbers and serrations on the knobs, but not for the zoom ring. Both have the BDC reticle. Great little scopes for the money.

  3. I’ve always liked Tasco. I’ve had great service with the older Tasco scopes. I’ve got one on one of my rifles I’ve had for prob 20 plus years. Still does the job. Not that I’m again the ones I just like Tasco.
