  1. I bought one to group test some firearms. But it's only good for bolt action. My lever action would get in the way and couldn't reload without moving the gun and also my AR15 didn't work because the grip handle would rest on the center pipe and fall every time I shot.

  2. I've had my lead sled for years and can't live with out it. It really works. I bought 50 lbs of lead shot and with the lead shot shooting my black powder rifles with heavy mini ball is fun. I use it with my Remington 7 mm mag. to check zero before hunting. And my Remington 22/250 when I go varmint shooting. It saves my shoulder and back and neck every time

  3. I bought one, and I am sending it back. I cannot get close enough to see through the scope. The front elevation adjustment section was very wobbly and would not sit straight. The base was wobbly. The base would not bolt up to the tubular section properly. So my over all opinion of the Lead Sled is that it is crap. This is the second Caldwell product that I bought this year that does not function properly. I am not going to buy Caldwell products anymore.

  4. This is the best thing I will not buy. As a hunter, I am yet to feel the recoil when the crosshairs are on the game when I fire it. People always complain about recoil, that's because you don't shoot enough, PERIOD!!! Perhaps I would use one of these if the game promises to pose as I st up, if they don't cooperate, then I will keep putting time and money to be a great shot on my own. Soon these wannabe shooters will send their friend to set it up at the range, put a camera on the scope, and by clicking zero on their cell phone, the gun will fire. Then they can go around bragging about how well they shot. You know, why play spider or poker on line when you can shoot rifles from your desk at work. Then by tomorrow they can remove swimming from the Olympics and add video rifle shooting. Okay okay, maybe this is good for the newer generation of "MEN???" Goes with manicure and eyebrows tattooed. Something like Jet black hair on 80 year olds. Either way, enjoy shooting, preferably far away from me and my old school friends. Jk boys, have fun.

  5.     The gun shooting rest is to steady your scope or iron sights to the target. When zeroing for first time adjustments, these can be very useful. It does,nt hurt rifle if the sled has a spring shock absorbing mechanism. This by no means is a sub for self firing. I used a different sled but same characteristics and my scopes are dead on to bullseye.

  6. ….no more zero when you try other shooting positions such as offhand. The bullet is still in the barrel during recoil > >meaning anything you do to alter recoil will shift the point of impact BIGTIME. This contraption is a JOKE. Even the universal machine rests used by bullet manufacturers for testing use a slide mechanism for return to battery. Looking for cracked stocks, damaged scopes….this is for you.
