  1. Thank You soooo much for putting all your time and energy into making this video!! Well done! I have the savage 220 and Love it!! I do a lot of bench rest shooting n hunting etc. I have shot all 3 of the Premium slugs. The Winchester Partition Gold, Remington
Accutip and the Ferderal Premium all in 3 inch shells. They all shot very well from 1 1/4 inches to 2 inches at 100 yards.
The trouble I'm having is I'm not getting the trajectory they say I should be getting? I'm sighted in 3 1/2 inch high at 100 Yds.
But its waaaay lower than 8 inch at 200 yds. (like the ammo box per-dicks?) I've read your one comment about using a bar on
your Ziess Z800 is perfect for that 300 yard shot( I don't have one) But that's all cool. But I do have a great scope on it. I'd love to
know the full trajectory on these bullets flight out to 300 Yds?? Maybe use the 260gr. 3 inch.as your example. So I can make
clean kills on deer at that range or a little closer, it won't matter, the distance, if I know what the total flight is. If you would like to
use a zero at 150 yards, that would be great as well. Nowhere can I find this chart.
I,ve been shooting quite a few rounds out to 250 yds but its getting expensive and I'm at 10 inches high at 100 yds now, just to be 5 inches low at 200 yds. ?? There,s got to be a better way! I'm worried the animal will be out of my sight picture at 300 yards
cause of the hold over required. lol Otherwise I will do it all by so many clicks on my scope etc. I just need the trajectory.
This slug really drops fast after 150 yds, all good as long as you know how to adjust for it. I can't just enter the Ball. Coefficient,
weight and speed cause these barrels are much shorter than 26 inches. So I doubt I,m getting 1900 fps even with the 3 inch shell. I appreciate all the work you have put into this, not only for our benefit but for animals, quick clean kills!
If you think its better to have a different zero than please suggest that as well, what ever you feel is best!! Outstanding!! Thanks
    Sincerely Dearl

  2. I'm not trying to ask a silly question so please forgive me if it is silly but, what is the advantage of using a 20 gauge slug over a rifle cartridge? If the video purpose is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the 20 gauge slug then yes, I did learn something new, thanks!

  3. awesome… I use the same slug, killed a deer, head shot, running away at 193 yards…  shotguns shoot a LOT further then most folks think.. they just don't want to take the time to map out their trajectory.. good shooting… I sub'd, sub my channel back please

  4. Very unethical to fire into a group of deer. But with practice you could make that shot with just about any gun. I can use my muzzle loader at that distance because I have practiced. Look up I think his name is bob mundane doing a 200 or 300 yard shot with a stub nosed pistol. Don’t get me wrong these are great shots. But you sure in you gun at that distance and you can make these shots

  5. Good video.
I suspect what some might be missing is all the time you spent at the range zeroing your bolt action slug gun to ensure you could hit reliably at 300 yards. The Remington Accutip, and other sabot slugs, have plenty of energy to kill a deer at 300 yards. Not every 20 gauge slug gun has the accuracy to place it on target at 300 yards.
I would be curious what other slugs or shotguns you tested to sort out which one held the best group.
Maybe some folks just don't like the fact that each of our United States sets their own hunting laws or maybe they just don't like hunting.
Legal, ethical harvest. Three shots, three deer. Well done.

  6. Awesome video! I witnessed my uncle take a doe at 300 with his 20ga. Very impressive. He had a lot of practice as well. I'm very confident between 150-200 with my 20ga. Btw we both shoot tc encores. A lot of people don't realize the accuracy of some of these slug barrels. The tc barrel is 28" (1:24 twist). It's funny also that a lot of people don't realize how long encore barrels are and they are still very compact guns! The break open action is much shorter than bolt or pump. Love that gun! Nice work guys!
