Comments:

Shooting at the DVC Indoor range was great. It was dry and comfortable, the lanes are well lit, and it’s nice to be able to retrieve the target sheets with a push of a button. The service was great and the staff are friendly. They’re not there to be your friends, but are courteous enough as long as you’re not an idiot or a d-bag trying to start shit. They have no tolerance for idiots showing up drunk or high, and rightly so.

The CMMG .22lr bolt conversion fits like a glove & dropped right into my Norinco CQ-A without any issues. The mag fit well & I had no feeding issues. It’s an inexpensive way to get rounds down range on the cheap. I must have put just over 200 rounds through the Norc and it cost me less than $15. When I take this to the outdoor range and shoot 5.56, it would probably set me back easily more than $100. One other good thing about so much trigger time is my trigger is nicely broken in! When I first got the Norc, it was a bit sticky, but now it breaks smooth and clean.

The max length of the indoor range is 15 meters and beyond that, my crappy vision really doesn’t let me see much beyond this without magnification anyway. At this range, I was able to get a decent grouping with my Fakepoint red dot sight. Despite it being a knock-off, it manages to holds a zero. It amazes me that people can shoot out to 50 or more meters without any visual aid. I hope it’s something I can do one day….laser eye surgery maybe?

I did this at 10 meters which was kind of fun:

  1. Hi Kasumi,

Sorry for the late reply, I don't check these often. In this video, I've got the CMMG .22lr conversion in my AR, and I can't lock the bolt to the rear. When I popped the mag in, I racked the bolt and let it go forward. Had it been the standard AR bolt in there, I probably would have had the bolt locked to the rear, and when I fed the mag in, I'd hit the bolt catch. Hope that helps!

  2. Thanks for watching. I didn't buy the adapter with the Bolt Hold Open Actuator so it doesn't keep the bolt locked to the back when the mag is empty, nor can I manually lock it to the back. I have to rack the charging handle whenever I pop in a fresh mag.
