  1. I truly get and respect what you have said. I however don't fully agree that EOTECH is standing by their products and or are fully confident in their products. Why would I say that? I have been thinking about EOTECH and was ready to bite the bullet and save the money and pay the absorbent Price. My reasoning is Pay once instead of 4 or five times. Then I searched and read their warranty only to find it isn't a lifetime guarantee . This is where they lost me. tHIS TELLS ME THEY KNOW FULL WELL THAT THEIR PRODUCT WILL MOST LIKELY FAIL. i HAVE SEEN COUNTLESS VIDEOS OF GUYS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR eotech SIGHTS. Now with that said it doesn't mean that every product with a lifetime guarantee is a good one. Look at I/O AK'S dangerous shit I wouldn't buy if it were the last AK on earth. Lets look at an EOTECH competitor "VORTEX. " NEED i SAY MORE . tHER 10TH OWNER NOT TENTH YEAR THEY WILL FIX OR REPLACE THE OPTIC. tHIS GIVE THE CONSUMER CONFIDENCE IN THE PRODUCT AND THE WILLINGNESS TO PAY MORE $ FOR SAID PRODUCT. Eotech needs to at very least offer a line of products with a LIFETIME Unconditional guarantee if they wish to win people such as me over .

  2. My 512 was made in November 2016. You think I'm safe? Or should I email them to see about a refund? I really like the sight plus I got the g33 magnifier behind it. Ugh I hope I didn't waste my money.

  3. Has anyone tested aimpoint or any of the others? the fuck, how often will you be in -40 or 120 degree weather? never, and I bet all the other optics have the same fucking problem, what a bunch of bullshit, there is nothing wrong with eotech you jackasses. not anything that isn't a problem with any others. no optic out there is actually parallax free dumbass, not even trijicon, they all lie, they are close but not totally, even the manuals tell you that.

  4. the parallax works in your favor if you are shooting at moving targets, it's kinda like sighting a shotgun at skeet, only you just move the reticle to the following side of the optic, and keep it on target as normal, the farther the reticle is from center, towards the following side, the more lead your bullet will have (faster moving means more lead), the outer circle can also be combined with this, a little practice and it works great, if your taking longer range shots, just keep the reticle fairly close to center where there's no noticeable parralax 🙂

  5. I call Bullshit! on this refund deal. I sent my sight in back in Feb. it's now May 29th and I have no refund. Have called them numerous times. First time they wanted my name, serial number of the sight, date I sent it in and the tracking number. I gave them this information and they couldn't find the sight. Next time they said they found the sight. Next time they said I'd be getting a check……that was like a month ago. And, it's been almost 5 months and I still have no check…..I'm wondering if I ever will get a check???? This is not a smart way to take care of the customer. The Eotech rep. said "send it back to us and we'll refund your money, no questions asked" BULLSHIT

  6. you must live in Hawaii or somewhere bro lol….east coast freezing conditions half the dang season,,west coast az/ca 120 heat all frikn day…. so where can i shoot the fukn thing? lol….i wish aimpoint or trijicon would develop a 65 moa like eotech,,,,that be fukn awesome

  7. I also received my refund check today. It has taken a little more than two months, But I wanted to share that I did receive it. I had no problems with the sight, but I may be depending on it for my life. I could not take that chance. I purchased the Primary Arms 1 X 8 ACSS with first focal plane reticle. I only have about 100 rounds since the new sight, but I have a consistent 2 inch group. With more practice I hope to get better.

  8. Ok, right off the bat, I love Eotechs. Defintely haven't torture tested the thing, but for home defense, I have to say having the outer circle for reference is definitely a confidence booster for close quarters target acquisition. When my family's life is on the line, I don't want to guess where to aim. Just reference the outer holo sight at closer ranges (which I have a lot of practice to go). Really want to get my hands on an aimpoint and toss it around, but my gun won't have to go through that kind of torture just yet. If only aimpoint made a holo sight too, then the real comparison could start. And the bigger window on an Eotech is definitely a perk.

  9. You should consider the Trijicon MRO. I have them on several different rifles and they are great! I sent my RMA request in over two weeks ago for the EOTech and still haven't received a RMA email. Starting to get angry that they haven't replied. Not so sure they really are 'standing by' their product. I haven't heard of a single person receiving a refund check.

  10. Got my approval to send in my 552. I will be sending it in early this week. Hopefully they don't take to long getting my refund to me. Although I will need the time to chose a replacement. I really liked the larger window on the eotech, not sure if I could get used to an aimpoint or if I should just forget about red dots and batteries and go back to a regular scope. Decisions decisions

  11. the issue goes deeper than that. EOTech has known about these issues for years and ignored it. As it turns out, there are also POI shifts at more than just the extreme ends of the operation temperature. a 40 degree change from the temperature it was zeroed at could have up to a 9 MOA shift in POI in the most extreme cases. Also the paralax free claim has been a lie since day 1.
