Looking at the bushmaster brochure it says this rifle is chambered in .223. Do you think any damage was done?

thats not an moa group , you have to count the flyer or else i would have .3 moa all day with vmax, but you have to count flyers.
my bushmaster moe ar 15 16 inch 1 in 9 twist free floated with timney trigger just shot .7moa with vmax and .9 with american eagle 223 55gr fmjbt

Have the stainless model with a Redfield 6×18 Have done 4 shot sub 1" groups with a led sled. The gun will out shoot most people including me. Puts my Ruger 243 American to shame.

The rifle I used has a 20" govt profile barrel with a 1:9 twist.

@haroldandkumar69 The 1:9 twist barrel will stabilize the M855 just fine. I have videos shooting my 20" AR15 with a 1:9 twist out to 500 meters accurately with M855 ammo. Plus, the ballistics/trajectory have already been proven time and time again.
The only reason the military went with the 1:7 was because of the longer M856 tracer round.
