just ordered the hl, cant wait tell it gets here.
@Natja Kristy the protac hands down was the brightest even at distance the 600 lumen punch that light has even out to 200 yards is super but that much energy sucks battery cheers REACT
@Natja Kristy
Excellent review. I have the Strion and it's a great little light. I'm considering the Protac HL but am also considering the SL-20 L. It's obvious that at 350 lumens the SL-20L has the disadvantage under the Protac. However the SL-20L is said to have a good tight center beam that can project and light up target's a far distances or up to 150 yards. I was wondering if you think the Protac HL could throw a beam 100 yards that is strong enough to see anything well? Thanks in advance 🙂
Protac HL hands down. Just keep in mind you only have 1 hr runtime, and it goes dead in a hurry! Expending that much energy to produce light comes at a cost. Using rechargeable cr123 you only have about 20 minutes. If you use the low high mode and use it mostly on low and high for emergencies it will last a long time.
