  1. just witnessed one 7.62 akm (ar bolt snap off). thanks for the video ,us very informative. here's a thought .how about if we buy the complete cmmg mutant and 7.62 Nato upper. then use saiga ak .308 mags. I am curious if that could fit.

  2. just going to come out and say it. nuttin fancy is saying to mutant sucks, but you guys were saying it's been a good rifle so far. I don't get how there's such mixed reviews on one rifle. granted every time fancy was demonstrating a malfunction that was a tapco mag in the magwell, but there's still no consistent reviews on the rifle. As far was AK variant testing goes, I as well as a lot of others would love to see our local 47-74 do a no BS review of it. I'm sure several of us could chip in a couple bucks to offset the cost of the rifle right?

  3. Any FFL holders out there that know of a distributor that currently has an "in stock" lower end CMMG MK47, AKA
The Mutant? The only ones I can find in stock are the ones that charge way too much for models with a Giesselle trigger for which I have no interest. I would really like to get hold of CMMG's entry level MK47 and have a 3lb Timney waiting to drop into its lower.

  4. I screwed up royally. I REALLY wanted a Mutant but every time I went to order I found them out of stock. What I settled on is a Palmetto State Arms "sorta" Mutant. Its a good gun so far but man, that overbuilt bolt on the CMMG product sure is awfully appealing!! So far, after a short break in period, no problems with the much cheaper PSA but I should have just waited and gotten what I intended to get which is the apparently superb CMMG MK47 better known as "The Mutant".

  5. it should have been a side charging AR to make it the perfect marriage of AR and AK. that charging handle suffers like all standard M4 charging handles do. its too small. i have the AXTS raptor ambi handle to solve it but it's my only major complaint of any AR style rifle.

  6. Hey thanks for the video guys! Quick question, can you guys do a torture test on the new line of I.O. AKM247c rifle??? That would be really cool, I understand they suck, but it would be awesome to see how long they last under your torture tests. Thank you!!

  7. I can ask if he would make an extra. n yea if shot laquered ammo with no problems. I have had problems with some hand loads. low powder for subsonic testing. I've givin up on ak subsonic rounds n gonna build ar45 pistols.

  8. We got one of the Mutant pistols in recently and so far three customers have managed to jam the magazine in the gun by not rocking it in properly, to fix it we had to remove the mag release paddle, quite a pain in the ass. You would probably say "well they shouldn't do that", you would be right but designing a gun that can have that occur is a design flaw. Its like where some guns can have their mags inserted backwards and jam in, or pistol barrels that can get jammed into a gun by improper assembly. Did you guys see any of that with your review? Great review by the way, thanks.

  9. I own a mutant n am very happy with it. just wish Cmmg put barrels n build parts n replacement parts for sale. as they said the charging handle is dif.many other parts r as well. so I have a machinist buddy making me mod pieces
