The Sig 1911 is ever so slightly different from standard 1911’s and usually won’t fit a standard 1911 holster. I'd say its no better and no worse than leather. Just keep it clean and apply a lil gun oil on the inside of it and it will last for you.
Does the kydex effect the finish of the gun at all? Like does it get holster wear as bad as a leather holster?

Well like I tell everyone friction between 2 objects over time causes wear. Doesn't matter if is kydex, leather or a cotton cloth. I tell everyone to keep the inside clean and apply a light coat of gun oil once a week and rinsing out

I just picked up a sig 1911 with rail and 5" barrel, didnt think it would be a hassle to get a holster for it but thats already proving to not be the case haha How well does the holsters set up to use a light/laser without the light/laser attached? Basically is it sloppy without the light on it? I don't have one just yet but plan to eventually. How long would it take to recieve a holster?
Its freakin cold here in Michigan. I'm ready to move down south. Yea, this gun ban thing has got a lot of people riled up. I think it may be hiped and when the dust settles I hope it wont be that bad. It definitely affects us all. Take away my guns, you may as well take away my oxygen!
