  1. Psa ept is much smoother then this trigger I have both I’m not to impressed with spikes . Spikes enhanced nickel boron is really gritty psa is not . Why put nickel boron on it and spend money on the process if your not going to polish the contact surfaces . Just putting it out there don’t spend the $$ for a name. Just saying!

  2. What is the brass looking pin/plunger with threads on the far right next to the two allen screws and allen wrenches? I just got done building my spikes enhanced lower and this is left over… I can find no where to indicate where or what that brass threaded plunger does??

  3. I have installed quite a few of these kits (and the nickle boron fire control groups by themselves) and have seen some where there is some "flash" or maybe slag under the NiB. In the few I have seen like this, the flash/slag wasn't in a area that mattered and it didn't interfere with the function of the fire control group. Other than that, most of parts I have seen are very nice and function smoothly.

  4. 2phast, I have this kit as well. I found the Nickel Boron Coating on the Hammer/Trigger/Disconnecter to be a lot rougher than I expected. I don't have anything to compare to, wondering what you think about the NiB finish on those 3 parts? I expected a much smoother/fuller finish of the NIB.

  5. The Spikes battle trigger is just that, a standard milspec trigger with a nickle boron finish and JP Springs. Spikes advertises the pull at 5-6 pounds, but testing for me has shown 6 lbs. The nickle boron is a suppose to provide a slick surface allowing you to run the parts "dry" (no oil or grease). I have not tested that claim and keep my own rifles oiled with CLP (Aeroshell 33ms when called for).
