Psa ept is much smoother then this trigger I have both I’m not to impressed with spikes . Spikes enhanced nickel boron is really gritty psa is not . Why put nickel boron on it and spend money on the process if your not going to polish the contact surfaces . Just putting it out there don’t spend the $$ for a name. Just saying!
What is the brass looking pin/plunger with threads on the far right next to the two allen screws and allen wrenches? I just got done building my spikes enhanced lower and this is left over… I can find no where to indicate where or what that brass threaded plunger does??
What's the difference between the regular lower parts and enhanced?
Ergo grips rock nice feature, so hows does this trigger compare with the BCM and ALG (act) triggers?
I think batteries are ment to go in the grip plug. maybe a AA and AAA battery?
when installing the ambidextrous (from the spikes enhanced lpk) on a Spikes Tactical Zombie lower, it fits too long. anyone has had this issue before? am I missing something?
Does the ambi safety ever actually help, or is it just a little bonus in the kit?
watch 3:50 with subtitles lol
I'll give them a closer look. By the way your videos have provided me with a wealth of information and really helped me make some product choices. Thanks!
I have installed quite a few of these kits (and the nickle boron fire control groups by themselves) and have seen some where there is some "flash" or maybe slag under the NiB. In the few I have seen like this, the flash/slag wasn't in a area that mattered and it didn't interfere with the function of the fire control group. Other than that, most of parts I have seen are very nice and function smoothly.
2phast, I have this kit as well. I found the Nickel Boron Coating on the Hammer/Trigger/Disconnecter to be a lot rougher than I expected. I don't have anything to compare to, wondering what you think about the NiB finish on those 3 parts? I expected a much smoother/fuller finish of the NIB.
it holds cr123
The Spikes battle trigger is just that, a standard milspec trigger with a nickle boron finish and JP Springs. Spikes advertises the pull at 5-6 pounds, but testing for me has shown 6 lbs. The nickle boron is a suppose to provide a slick surface allowing you to run the parts "dry" (no oil or grease). I have not tested that claim and keep my own rifles oiled with CLP (Aeroshell 33ms when called for).
congrats delta3tactical won't even answer the phone for me… going on 3 weeks
Less than a week. That of course assumes they are in stock.
Ah, good to know. Thanks for sharing that info.
Those are JP trigger springs that come with this kit.
Just received this L.P.K. form delta 3 tactical on Monday, and i ordered it on 12/21/12
How long did it take you to receive your order from Delta 3?
Yes, you are correct I did do that a couple of times. Thanks for reminding me. I need to add a pop-up balloon correcting that mistake.
Minor quibble, in the video you point out the hammer, trigger and sear, the parts shown are the hammer, trigger and disconnector.
