A quick review of the Nikon P-22 2-7x32mm Rimfire Riflescope that I mounted on my Ruger 10/22 Takedown.

Also do a check to see if the 10/22 Takedown will hold POA/POI after breakdown and reassembly.

  1. I was really disappointed by not being able to use my DNZ mount with leupold 3-9 rifleman scope on my 10/22 takedown for same reason with the rear sight.  I decided to use the takedown with iron sights and bought another 10/22 stainless/synthetic rifle for use with volquartsen trigger, dnz low mount, and leupold scope.
    thanks for the video

  2. That's not a simple question to answer because it depends on the range you are shooting at, the type of ammo used and if you're shooting at an extended range, then weather conditions will come into play. You have to be more specific about your use. Thanks for watching.

  3. I haven't had problems with the charging handle interfering with the knob, but then again, I don't typically adjust it. I have found that the BDC reticle is pretty darn useful, If you really want to get good use out of it, you can download their smartphone app: Nikon Spot On. Thanks for watching!

  4. I just oredered the Ruger Takedown and then I went to opticsplanet to buy the same exact scope…didn't know i'd find a video with the same set up. Great vid my man now i know what to expect.

  5. Great intro, outstanding vid.
I've been flip flopping between the different Nikon 22 models and just couldn't decide, then I find this great vid using the scope on the very rifle I'm going to put it on.
How's the cheek weld with the high rings?
Thank you very much for your time.

  6. I noticed the first shots were flyers but the rifle settled in 2nd shot. I would suggest cycle the bolt couple of times before loading a loaded magazine into the rifle to see if that will eliminate the flyers. My 2 cents. Very good review on a very nice rifle and scope. Subbed & liked.

  7. I used Weaver High rings (#49326). You can use the medium rings if you are willing to remove the rear flip-up sight from the barrel. If you use the medium rings and leave the rear sight on, then you will not be able to twist the barrel to take down the rifle. Thanks for watching!

  8. excellent video! I have been looking for a optic for my 10/22 takedown also and you just made my decision a whole lot easier. I will be calling my local bass pro today to see if one is in stock. Keep up the great videos!

  9. According to the manual, it is 1/4" for each click @ 50 yards. I'l take it out to 50 & 100 yards – I just wasn't able to because I was trying to get at least something done before the real rain started. I'm sure it will hold its own at 100 yards. Thanks for watching!

  10. Isn't 1 Moa around 1" at 100yrds so 1/4 moa would be 1/4 inch at 100? Also, I think you can get a better demonstration of accuracy at 50 or even 100yrds. As long as the wind is still enough I think you should have no problem geting 1" out of your rifle. The trigger just sucks.
