The failure to feed and the jams you experienced I think are related to the magazines. I'd check the spring in it to see which direction it points.

How long is from the back of the rail to the tip of the fake suppressor? Would it be like a 6 or 7 inches?
As you load mags, did you tamp the rounds to back of mag? We used to tamp them on our helmet or on palm to seat rounds to back of mag. Might help?
Are you using an extended buffer or a spacer? Buffer weight?
I could see this in 10mm and .45 as a short carbine for home defense.
That Socom Fake Suppressor, what size did you get it in? I'm only seeing .223/556 and 308 on their website.
Cool build man. I want to do an AR9 pistol too and that SB tactical brace is exactly what ive been looking for. Personally i would like a slightly longer barrel maybe like an 8 inch (so barely lol) but that looms awesome. Hope you get it sorted out.

Quarter Circle 10 is what I used (colt pattern) and it’s been wonderfully reliable. Blitzkrieg hydraulic buffer with AR10 spring paired with the QC10 bolt is smooth and flawless. I spent time and money on my build and I have ~7.2k
rounds of all flavors through it with no hiccups. Check out Quarter Circle 10 upper/lower receivers and their bolt setups. Cool video, I’m a big fan of the 9mm AR platforms.

That's the problem with franken guns.. they don't always mesh… it is blowback so it should could be buffer or spring issue.. and most likely a magazine seating height issue.. try some different mags, glock, magpul, ets… ect…
Hank!?.. I only counted 15 shots. But The gun needs to be broken in properly. Maybe a higher grain bullet will help. Overall a good AR pistol.
That's magazine is highly problematic.
This is partly why I went with a CZ Scorpion EVO III. Everything is designed to work together, no special fitting or other tinkering required.
That said, very cool little blaster once you get the bugs worked out.
lol and that's why you just buy a purpose built 9mm carbine. Mpx, evo, mp5 whatever… 9mm AR's are hit or miss.
Great video and great job doing it alone. That AR-9 looks sweet just too bad Walter doesnt have a K.E.S. with a tailhook cause that would make it sweeter along with a binary Trigger. Maybe see if Guntec would do a Hank Strange Edition….

you know what will really make a 9mm ar pistol beautiful??????????????? mp5 magazine…. will give it an mp5 appeal…..i know glock mags are way cheaper…..maybe somebody should make curved mags for 9mm ar that are designed to take glock mags

You should try some regular Glock mags if the one you’re using isn’t original.
nice vid man. recommend: try a different mag, mebbe a G17 for feeding. i find my 33-rounders a bit persnickety on the ammo they feed but for some reason the 17s not so much…
