I had this as my on duty light in early 2000s. Is it me or does it seem like the xt even with new stock battery and stock bulb just does not seem as Brite as it was in its first few years.
I think you need to charge or replace that "regular" battery. My regular Stinger rocks that light and never had a problem with it. It rocks even that terralux. Some people like to spend money though.
Question: Are the claims of the fragile nature of this unit true?
On some of the sites that sell these units, the buyer's comments claim that the slightest drop renders the unit inoperative/broken. I am an SRT Officer in a Prison and if this device cannot take that kind of atmosphere, I cannot use it. Prison officers suffer the same ill behaviors that street officers endure (save for bullets whizzing past my head). I need to kow this before I buy one.
Thanks.

Where you get the LED light for them to replace it
Are you comparing a basic incandescent or a Xenon? I believe the Xenon is intensely brighter, but GOBBLES batteries.

What's the output and runtime?
just got one and breathed new life into my 12 year old stinger
Can you post the part number for the improved upgrade? Also, how does it compare to the Streamlight C4?
Any idea why my top won't unscrew off of my stinger xt??
