  1. I had this as my on duty light in early 2000s. Is it me or does it seem like the xt even with new stock battery and stock bulb just does not seem as Brite as it was in its first few years.

  2. I think you need to charge or replace that "regular" battery.  My regular Stinger rocks that light and never had a problem with it.  It rocks even that terralux.  Some people like to spend money though.

  3. Question: Are the claims of the fragile nature of this unit true?
On some of the sites that sell these units, the buyer's comments claim that the slightest drop renders the unit inoperative/broken. I am an SRT Officer in a Prison and if this device cannot take that kind of atmosphere, I cannot use it. Prison officers suffer the same ill behaviors that street officers endure (save for bullets whizzing past my head). I need to kow this before I buy one.
    Thanks.

  4. All the TerraLUX LED conversion kits can be found on the TerraLUX Portable website along with a "where to buy" distributor listing. In the LED conversion kit section, you can filter the products by flashlight model in a box on the left.
