Here’s a quick video on the unboxing of my brand spanking new Palmetto State Armory M4A1 AR-15. I was super excited to finally get this at My FFL and be able to pick it up. It took the guys at Palmetto 3weeks to completely build this rifle from scratch. That isn’t bad at all. The guys at PSA take great pride in their work and give you the best that they can. This rifle has a chrome lined 1:7twist barrel, It is rated for 5.56 and .223Rem. I opted to get the package with all MOE furniture on it rather than getting the standard M4 carbine hand guard, standard grip, standard buttstock, and standard magazine. I think it was money very well spent. Your mileage may vary, but i think it is well worth it to get the upgraded MOE package. I got this rifle from Caleb Poynter at The Gun Buff LLC and I have to say he has extremely good customer service and will handle any and all issues that stem from your order. go check him out at thegunbuff.com and let him know you heard about him on the guns and accessories channel. I will get some range footage as well as me putting on the accessories and how to do each one of them. I suggest that you all go out and pick up a palmetto state armory AR-15 today, mostly because it is the best bang for your buck in the AR-15 world. Thanks for watching the video and I hope to hear from you guys!

  1. Dude I live bout 10 miles from the store, and they do just pull it off a shelf and box it. Seven hundred dollar gun I don't think would be made to order! The premium barrels are made by FN, that has makes military barrels, parts kits made by several company's from cnmg to bravo to FN. Great product no doubt

  2. I have read a lot of really good reviews on this upper receiver from PSA. I finally decided to order one from them this week. I placed my order this Wensday and received my UPS tracking number Friday morning. My upper receiver will be here at my house next Thursday. That's only five days for order to delivery. Exact opposite of all the bad reviews I've been reading. Can't beat the price, I only paid 216.00 shipped. I'll be ordering my BCG and charging handle in a few weeks. Can't wait to take her to the range.

  3. Yeah, about half the people at PSA ruin the company for the other half that try to provide customer service.  They have great value, but their shipping department sucks about 1/4 of the time.  If you get what you pay for only after the third try it is still a rip off.  I still use them because I am cheap.

  4. I dont think PSA machines anything like this video states. PSA does sell very basic no frills Milsec items at low prices. I have built an AR using their upper and lower and parts. It came out great and I sold it for a profit.

  5. Aero Precision lowers. FN doesn't do aerospace products for the US. They build M4s. FNH lowers are hen's teeth. You got lied to. you look at a real FN lower vs PSA, no match at all. And they wouldn't sell a competitors product right next to theirs while touting how great theirs are! They produce entry level parts and weapons. Not saying they aren't good, just not the best as they claim.

  6. Then the rep that my ffl and I contacted upon ordering this firearm lied to us. However, I am fairly positive he did not, and even if, at this point, they are making and buying lowers and other parts, they still make them. and about the FN tooling, this was what we were told, via phone conversation, with the sales rep. The parts are made on FN machines.

  7. We visually inspect each lower before shipment, and do our best to locate possible defects, scratches, etc. Our blemished lowers are sent back to the manufacturer for replacement.

PSA makes very little. And I doubt very seriously that they bought licensed FNH toolings. They are a 'catalog' dealer….

  8. I am not sure, because they bought an FN factory in Colombia South Carolina and have been manufacturing their own parts ever since. Maybe they had to buy barrels from FN or another source so that they could keep up with demand.

  9. It is the style of an acog, but offers no real advantage like an acog. The t dot is cool, I own one to be honest. But I havent had it on a gun since i was 18, when it was on my 10/22. The sight is outdated in my opinion, good and function, but heavy and useless. I just prefer the micro dot TRS-25, especially for its price.

Light/laser combo I would recommend is the streamlight series of weapon lights. The TLR2 I think has both, very good, reliable lights, accurate lasers, kinda pricey

  10. Well I haven't had any trouble with either but am looking to get an ACOG soon, I like the T-dot because it has the style like the ACOG.. My NcStar is nice, but it was my first purchase on a light and laser.. What brand would you suggest?? And I love my rifle its been great and I've put hundreds of rounds, mostly different brands of ammo, and it has fed and shot great with all.

  11. .223 and 5.56mm have the same projectile, but the cartridges have different pressures. The .223 has a higher pressure and some rifles are only rated for 5.56mm pressures. Some are rated for .223 which means they can handle both.
