  1. Ed: Because the sight alignment of the iron open sights and stock design were made for lower eye position and cheek weld, have you thought of or have you added an adjustable cheek rest to the butt stock?

  2. Nice video. I just got the BDC reticle version. About the scope ring height, this scope has large sharp knobby turrets and the 10/22 has a small bolt handle so a higher ring will provide better clearance. I used medium Nikon A Series mounts and will also add a longer bolt handle. Your review and shooting were spot on.

  3. Nice review Big Ed. Your video convinced me that the P-22 Nikoplex was the scope I wanted. I love Nikon scopes and had a couple Nikon BDC scopes but, even using the Spot On software, I didn't like aiming with the little "compensation" circles. When you introduced me to the quick elevation adjustment and the duplex reticle I knew that was my next Nikon scope. I just put one on my 1022 and it's perfect. Good job Ed and thanks.

  4. Ed – would you recommend this scope for a M&P 15, for a guy who just shoots for fun? time at the range and time in the gravel pit. seems like a good scope at a very reasonable price. why or why not?

  5. Pretty much exactly the kind of info that I needed as I'm in the process of getting my Canadian gun license, and a newbie, was looking at a Ruger 10-22 Stainless semi-auto with the new version of this scope (Nikon P-Rimfire Riflescope) that one of your commenters mentioned below. Thanks for taking your time with the video.

  6. I'm shooting spray paint cans 150 to 300 yards with a Savage MKII. The 36-38-40 grain projectiles go completely through the cans at all those distances.  You can comfortably take a .22lr out to 500yds given the correct conditions. If you're going to buy a scope, buy one with at least 3x magnification. That's the whole reason for using a scope in the first place, magnification and target acquisition. I have the Nikon 4-12×40 and I can clearly see the paint cans at 240yds. Like I said, at least get a 3x magnification.

  7. One last question, I'm new to any type of shooting with a scope but want to learn how to eventually shoot long range (500+yards) with a 308 Rifle do you think I'd be better off with the BDC scope with MOA turrets considering I'll need to learn about MOA in the future or learn off this one and upgrade to MOA on the 308?

Already purchased the P-22 but can be returned…
