  1. It is very NICE to see the MRS. shooting. My "Minnesota Bride," her whole family got my into shooting and hunting. She from Longville, MN, we been married 28 years, I'm California. December I purchased my first AR-15, and I have built one already and I plan on doing another AR build. Thank you for video!

  2. Platform? My Drill Sgt. must be turning on his grave. He would not even tolerate anyone calling a rifle a gun. " There are only two guns in the Infantry Battalion, the four deuce and the eighty one" He would say. How things do change.

  3. if going with a scope on an ar-15 .223, what power would you recommend. I'm looking at the Vortex viper PST 2.5-10×32 ffp or the Vortex viper PST 4-16×50 ffp. I want to be able to shoot at up to 800 yards. keep in my shoot at that distance will be rare. most of the time my max range will be 300 yards. pls let me know. I've read, and have heard that 4-16×50 is overkill for an AR-15.

  4. Yes I am quickly learning that optics cost more than the weapon I am mounting them on…I have found some less pricey alternatives that are very effective for my needs but a value spread of 1500 yields an unmatched quality level…I suppose it's the difference between a G500 and a Rubicon and your personal finances

  5. I am putting together my Sbr and I plan on putting flip ups on my 11.5" Bcm flat top. Should i get the ones with tritium on them and should it be front and rear or only front with the tritium?

Do you think my Aimpoint Pro would maybe take away from the compactness of what I am trying to accomplish?
What particular brand or model of flip ups should i get, this rifle is for home defense and SHTF duty as well as my road gun for my travels.
I want quality and I don't care about pricing by the way.

    Thanks

  6. Very nice video my brother… one of the best I've seen on YT.  Very professionally done, and didn't talk down to the viewer.  I learned a great deal, and will be subscribing to your channel.  I'm new to the whole AR platform, been shooting since I was a kid but this is all new territory for me, but this helped me greatly and was exactly what I was looking for.  I look forward to your other videos.  PS. Hope you didn't hurt your sites when you dropped them, of course they're probably pretty rugged.  Thanks again.

  7. Hi, another great video with useful advice.  I'm getting my first AR15 (a Sig M400 SRP), and was really getting a bit confused with all the options.  I've decided to put on the Magpul MBUS Pro metal sights (since front one sits on the gas block) for now, learn to shoot it well, an only then move on to red dot or scopes, as you said very well.  Thanks.

  8. Thanks very much.  I am currently building my first AR and am trying to figure out which sight setup to go with and this was extremely helpful.  Because of this video, I'm thinking of going with the flip-up sights coupled with a red dot.
