stop using shitty mags, hard to tell if its the gun or the mag. Nobody cares if it's the mag. Waste of a test and ammo.
Making it through 1 mag without a failure is NOT an accomplishment.. Every Guard I've seen, be it 9mm,or 45acp has trouble with HPs. Usually 1 FtF in every 30rds,which is completely unacceptable.
Until CMMG fixes that, I'm ignoring it, especially since a Scorpion eats EVERYTHING.

Love the weapon, but I carry a 1911. The magazine different will be the problem
I guess my experience is different from most, my 1911 Colts have no problems running hollow points, the Hi-Power did, both Glock 22's we're jamamatics, 6-7 hangups per magazines. They ran ball ammo but not hollow points. I have had two failures since 1979 with the three 1911's I have owned. The FNX 45 has yet to fail.
Does the sb tactical pdw give you more extension than the shockwave?
What cerakote color did you pick? Midnight Bronze?
Any test on the 450 smc round out of that Guard? Hint hint. Haha
Given that the LWRC SUB45 seems to be vaporware at this point the CMMG Guard might be the best option out there in a PCC. A real SBR version would be nice, if the Congress would pass a bill to get the ATF off our dicks.
Hey man one more question. Would there be a difference in gases between suppressing this vs the 9mm version?
I'm torn between this and the 9mm version. My main purpose is to suppress it and maybe hunt. What you think? Also, subscribing.
Love the impressions of the CMMG Guard. Two issues. Price of course. And what's up with the KeyMod? I guess if that's what you have, but I'm shocked there's no MLok option. Even BCM finally caved in.

Absolutely no reason to have a pistol caliber rifle period. There is nothing they do better but plenty they do worse than 5.56.

No idea why people use GARBAGE mags with high end guns!? I saw this on 3 different reviews of this same gun… To give ANY gun a fair test, you should use mags that don't cost $1.00 each? Just my 2 cents of course. 🙂
