  1. Nice video man. Lol I've been an AK guy my whole life and am just dipping my toe in the AR water. So I'm looking at both of these rifles as starter. Looking like both are good picks and as of now the Bushmaster is a bit more expensive. Not by much, but I still can't decide if its worth the extra money or am I getting the same quality at a cheaper price? I guess I would like too know what you would do if in my shoes.

  2. I would pick Bush master why because in my opinion it better made and it proven it self more over Smith. I had a Smith sport 2 it was ok but did not feel the quality like bet my life with it. Had an older Bush master before had no issues well built I know Remington took the Bush master over but they still seam like they made well. People talk crap on them but I wouldn't stop you from buying one check it out for your self. People tend to be ar snobs. It has to be bcm or some fancy gun. No it don't just make sure everything is made to spec you be fine. I had bcm rifle it shot a little smother but you can make any ar15 do that my bcm after time still got the space problem between the upper and lower. I ended up selling my bcm needed money and that was only thing worth anything at the time. Looking for another ar15 not going to get a high end fancy one I'm just going to go colt or Bush master if I want to make it a little better all I got to do is buy the parts and upgrade it not little by little not a big deal.

  3. M16 bolt carrier on the Bushmaster? Since when? I have one from 2012 and one from 2014 and they have the same bolt carrier as the M&P you showed. They are both the XM15-E2S version like you are showing.

  4. M&P. The whole point is the price point. Smith is kicking Windham and Bushmaster's butt on price. Some other models of the M&P15 can be had with chrome lining and other options like the Bushmaster has but more cost like the Bushmaster. You would have to compare a stripped down and cheaper Bushmaster to do a fair comparison to the Sport 2. Compare apples to apples, not apples to oranges. I don't think you have a fair comparison since the Bushmaster costs more and has more features. For what the Sport 2 is and what you are getting with the price you can't go wrong.

  5. Also, be aware, the rifle with the Bushmaster logo on it isn't even the Rifle you think it is. It isn't made by the people who started Bushmaster nor are the people actually in the shop the original bushmaster employees. Those people are back in the original factory in Windham Maine. The man that was the original founder of Bushmaster sold the name and off those people went with the name, however the founder, Mr. Dyke still had the then dead plant and all the machinery still in the plant started calling all the old workers and asking if they would like to come back and make AR15 rifles again. As you can imagine almost all the ones asked returned and are now accomplishing the single task they all agreed to do, produce the finest out of the box AR15 and they believed in their work so much they now offer a 100% fully transferable GUARUNTEE. The name of the company now is Windham Weaponry and they make rifles better than the old original Bushmaster Rifles. I purchased a new AR15a4 which is the same long barreled rifle the Marine Corp issues to their Marines if they need the 20" government profile barrel with a removable carry handle for when you need a capability to mount an optic. This is a very high quality AR15 rifle, mil-spec with the true 1/7 barrel twist. I paid $850 for mine a couple years ago and I'm very happy I got the removable carry handle. That's what adds about $75 to the purchase and for me it's worth having the carry handle/ iron site capability with the added luxury of a rail to mount optics if and when you desire to do it. I think WW rifles have even come down a bit since I bought mine because so many companies are now making these type of rifle it has driven down the overall price for these rifles so do your homework and learn what makes one rifle better than another. Also as in the case of Windham find someone that is so confident in the quality of the rifle they make that they give you an outstanding GUARUNTEE like Windhams 100% fully transferable promise. That is a sweet deal.
