Part One of the AR15 Lower Parts How To: To start I did find out that this trigger and hammer are sold in the state that is found in this video, which is an absolute shame. I am fortunate that Primary Arms Customer Service is Tops (Thanks Joey) and took care of me. There will be a follow up video to this one.

  1. The only thing I have found with the Anderson lower was that the two holes for the takedown pin spring and detent were too small to fit the springs. Even with the Anderson parts kit. Not a big deal I just drilled it out slightly bigger and that was the end of it. Just FYI.

  2. I've used the Anderson kits a couple of times with good results. Both included the stainless hammer and trigger. I hit both with a little polish. Works good enough for my interest level.

  3. I've used Anderson kits on a couple different rifles find them on sale a lot at primary arms for 29.99$ and it's hit and miss on the trigger group. I've also gotten one before that wasn't polished however I've gotten some that had pretty good milspec triggers. No matter the brand I either polish it myself and drop in JP Enterprise 3.5lb spring kit which is awesome or just put an upgraded trigger. Other than the trigger on occasions Anderson makes a very serviceable lpk for the money. Like I said even the ones that got by QC I just polished myself in 15 minutes and they run just fine for your average everyday Joe. Def not built for a competition or percision gun. Wanted to add also I've used their stainless trigger group and it was horrible even after a while polishing it the machining marks just ran too deep and the grit made the trigger unusable. But I've only tried one of the SS models they could be just like the basic set and just hit or miss. Mine was def a miss

  4. I had to polish the trigger, very gritty. Since then, smoothed out completely. Still a relatively long and hard pull, but not one bit of roughness. I would buy again.

  5. Really like the Anderson stripped multi lower receivers I use on my ARs that gives a matching and tight fit but I don't have any of their rifles or other parts so I can't comment on those.

  6. I get these parts kits for $42. What I want to know is where can you find a parts kit as good or better for the same money? Cause I would like to think I have used most parts kits that are out there and none except the higher end (more expensive) have come with triggers that didn't have edges. Even then they still needed polishing up.

  7. I have an Anderson LPK as well. The Detent of the bolt catch was missing altogether. The trigger was shit! The bolt catch would not go up high enough to stop the bolt and last round hold open would not work. The lower part of the bolt catch was so thick that it could not pivot enough for the catch to go up high enough to catch the front of the bolt! That's why you should not waste time and money on "Rifle Kits" You are only getting the upper and Barrel you want the rest of the crap is just that…CRAP! Anderson needs to stick to making lowers. I'll get everything else individually and yes, pay more for it initially but I will get what I want at the quality I need.

  8. The Anderson lower is designed to not have pistol screw threeded all the way. Their lower parts kit comes with pistol grip screw that is only half as long as other parts kits. The threading issue you had with lower is by design.

  9. That is why I always get the gun builder kit put a alt act trigger in with the grip of my choice. Doing it that way will save you little more money then buying a complete kit with left overs.

  10. every Anderson lower I've had (4), they were not completely threaded on the grip screw…other than that, they are just as good as anything else…I've used DPMS, PSA, Anderson, and Bushmaster lowers…they all are about even…I will not use a LPK from Anderson though…they have a cheap look to them and I believe a lot are MIM…CMMG LPK are top notch
