  1. An M-16?? That looks like a M-4 variant? Am I wrong?? From my current knowledge (spent some time in the USMC with the M-16A2 and M-16A4) the M-16 even from the M-16A1 was a 3 round burst or semi select fire weapon.. with a 20” barrel and never had full auto capability. I think only the M-4 Carbine had full auto capability and a much shorter barrel.

Could be wrong, wouldn’t be the first time. But I don’t think I am… so if your trying to educate people.. please educate yourself first.

  2. I know a guy who swears that semi automatic is the "babababababababa" and automatic is "boom, boom, boom, boom." He has them confused and will not relent. I just showed him this and he says you're wrong. Lmfao. Some people can't be told. Hubris.

  3. One of the great deceptions of the gun lobby is to diminish the lethality of the AR-15 by pounding it in that it is not a real assault rifle. If being a submachine gun is the only definition of an assault weapon, this is true but the gun lobby wants to distract people from the fact that semi-auto fire is more accurate and conserves ammunition which is a real issue on the battlefield. In the movies, people seem to have endless supplies of bullets but that is a fairy tale. The problem with that is that semi-auto fire is actually more lethal and accurate than auto-fire. Most battles founght on the ground with Carbines is fought in semi-auto mode because its more accurate and doesnt waste ammunition. Auto fire is used mostly as suppresive fire to cover troop movement. Take the AK-47. IN one demonstration by a seasoned gun instructor (Vickers Tactical) comparing semi-auto with 2 burst fire and automatic fire, the semi-auto fire demolished the other two in accuracy with 100% headshots using 8 rounds in 6 seconds. When using the auto fire, 30 rounds were used in 3.5 seconds and 24 missed the targets. Anyone can get 2 rounds a second off with semi-auto fire and a good competitor can do 3. And let's not forget that "a well regulated militia" is what the Second Amendment originally meant as pointed out in Federalist 29 and 43. Having laws for self-protection are a another matter altogether.

  4. I fucking love how every gun nut thinks they have to explain full and semi auto to people who support gun control. Now how about these guys show how fast they can actually semi auto fire that rifle without losing between every trigger pull.
