  1. As I understand, the new 7S has Dielectric Coating (which 7 did not have) and Phase correction, the main difference when compared to the Monarchs is ED. I believe dielectric coating is credited for brighter imaging out of binocs in general.Have you tried say a Monarch 5 beside the new 7S? Is it as bright? Is the difference negligible? I am unable to try the new 7S anywhere around where I live. I have a decision to make and any help would be greatly appreciated. I also understand the field of view is slightly wider in 7S. I am suspecting that the 7S being of longer "focal lenght" does not suffer from too much Chromatic Aberration.
