  1. I am so stoked to install this. For whatever reason I had some doubts in the back of my mind that it doesn’t really work and I wasted my money. Glad to see how easy it is to install.

  2. What if the castle nut had been peaned(done by the armorer who assembled my lower) would the wrench still remove the castle nut or would I have to replace the buffer tube after the castle nut is removed

  3. When you talk about attaching the devise you say screw it all the way in until it stops and then you back the device out because it would not make full rotation to line up properly. You don’t address if you take the spring and detent out or do you hold it down and screw the device over it. I took my spring and detent out so that it would be flush but still not sure if this is the proper way.

  4. Nice, trying to build a backpack gun (under 22'' folded or not) and was gonna go 4.5. But meh, really want 7.5 for more reach, so checked out folders and now here. BUT i got a HT frt im going to throw in it, and i'm wondering how it will run with bolt ext and a H3 Kaw valley 5.4oz buffer. A good video for channel views would be using this folder with a HT style frt to see how it runs and/or get it dialed, since frt's are hot now. If not, I'll make a video on it if i get one and go test it and get it dialed.. Not sure gen 4 or 5 yet. hmm….

  5. Your package took me to some older video that was trash. This video was much better but sadly, I already jacked up my AR not knowing a specific armorer tool was used for the caster nut.

  6. These instructions are incorrect. My new SA 5 Pro has a different location to insert the take down spring and screw. So the video is misleading and led to hours of frustration for a simple installation. The manufacturer changed the location and had to know the video is wrong so fix it!

  7. Using this on a bolt gun build that uses buffer threads instead of a Picatinny rail, rifle tube with a 9in tungsten weight to balance it, no spring. Looks okay but the plunger area makes it look kinda odd but I know it's meant for an AR platform. I started to place my thumb on the same side as the trigger finger so that the area of the plunger does not affect me unless I wrap my finger around the tangless grip.

Would you guys be willing to look at designing a bolt gun version? Probably doesn't need all the features that the SA5 offers. Adding an adjustment screw/spring so the stock can move or stay to the shooters preference? Also the buffer retainer could be a bit thicker to allow buffer weights that won't sheer off in case of being used for comps or harsh training conditions. I have mine chambered in 308 but maybe those in Magnum calibers might prefer the thickness of the SA5 to withstand the recoil.

Having this on with my rifle length stock and buffer tube clears the bolt when it travels to the rear with a cheek riser also allows me to remove the bolt from the action without removing the whole action from the chassis nor adjusting the riser by folding the stock over.

  8. Kind of sorry I bought this folding brace no support on your YouTube channel whatsoever.. If you're gonna take the time to make a video maybe you should take the time to answer people's😢😢😢 questions..

  9. I heard some people say they have to shave the bcg extender down 1/8 in., will this need to be done with the SA5 adapter if im putting it on a PWS long stroke piston upper?

  10. Phil, you totally left out what you're doing with the buffer retaining pin and Spring. I believe it needs to be removed out of the lower and inserted into the backside of your folder. Not sure, though. Cause you don't address it.
