  1. I've had an Atlas as my #1 go-to for close to ten years and also have 12" entenders for it. Very solid, quiet for elk hunting, tough enough for PRS and light enough to hike with. Just added a rail to my new Bergara for it yesterday. Mine's all painted up and beat up but never fails me

  2. For $230, yeah maybe. Although i have two $50 UTG BP-01 recon 360°s that are absolute BEASTS! They do everything i need them to do and they do things those pricey bipods cant! Full 360° swivel/rotation and about 17° of left-right/fore-aft tilt/cant with tension adjustments, the legs have 5 positions along a 180° arc from forward to backward, the legs extend smoothly and lock securely and even have tension adjustments on the legs. They have single screw pic mounts built in, weigh about 9-10 oz, have durable anodizing and look great.
The only meaningful difference between these and the high priced bipods is they dont offer replacement feet, however ive made my own. I have the round rubber feet that it came with, spiked feet for setting up on wooden window sills and such and wide flat pads with short spikes to set up in soft mud, sand etc.
Idk. I think id just save $180 and buy another UTG. Ive never found myself wanting with these bipods.

*edit* just looked it up on Amazon. Theyve redesigned it a bit. It no longer has the 2 rearward leg positions though you can rotate it 180° for the same effect and instead of 2 tension adjustment screws on the 360° ball joint it has a single hand lever for adjustment. Says its 11 oz and $72 now. Still a great deal imo.

  3. I'd have to handle one and inspect it to know . The terrain in my local area doesn't play well with bipods in most cases and they end up in a pouch almost indefinitely because they add weight for almost no utility. As a range toy I don't need a premium bipod, I need a good enough to be stable bipod . I don't think what I could use exists.
