Yup. I slapped it on and did some dry sorting once I got it. Took me a few minutes to figure out. I tried posting first and realized I was landing on the trigger.
People out here ask the wrong questions. It’s not “ambi lower vs B.A.D. Lever” it’s dude with a milspec lower that came with their AR and $20 left over after buying other attachments, optics, and upgrades. Is it worth $20 to have some ambi controls? As someone whose had a double feed, yeah it was a pain to lock the bolt back with my off hand.
Maybe for competitions. But in a shtf setting, you want your finger on that trigger as quick as possible. The classic firearms video does a great job showing the difference between the BAD lever and integrayed ambi controls. We're splitting hairs a little on it, but the 0.X of a second of speed advantage the BAD lever gives you could at some point mean the difference between life and death especially now with the threat of WW3 ever present upon the horizon. Competitions for shooting are fun, but theyrr absolutely not they type of real world training people need right now. Theyre too sanitized and scrubbed. If you wanna train for real, go out in the woods and train. Watch Garand Thumbs videos on survival, thats how I'm learning currently how to evade and survive. Train hard people, be prepared and DON'T get complacent. Complacency will get you killed faster than anything else.
Don’t send the bolt home without chambering a round. The forward velocity is too great and can (probably not) but CAN damage your bolt face. Pull the charging handle back, press the bolt catch/release, then manually guide the charging handle back into position. Doesn’t have to be slow. Just controlled.
I’ve never had this problem and I use mine the first demonstration way never accidentally hit the trigger but I also don’t put unnecessary force on it either
The funny thing is, most of the "it's dangerous" comments have a TLR1 or X300 on their go to pistol that requires your finger to do the same motion in the same position lol. Also, if you are manipulating your rifle with the safety off…well I just hope the dude around you have plates.

Jesus my life have changed whole 360° XD I did this thing incorrectly whole time XD
I prefer the phase 5 bolt catch, it does the same thing but its one piece instead of being a rattly extra part stuck onto a standard catch.
🤔. What is the difference between the two ways of hitting the release?
Bad lever is a bad idea 👎

If youve got good trigger control this shant be a problem
One of the cheapest upgrades for a AR worth the cost. I went with Redi-Mag, I like the little thing
Can I get proof that your supposed to use it this way Ive been pushing it inward a while does say explicitly in the manual or?
Phase 5 is better
Regardless, you’re supposed to engage your safety before you reload…
Duh

I love mine use it to lock back and to send it home ❤ never had a issue when I do ill fix the issue
it’s also on safe.

Don’t forget you don’t want to place the muzzle in your mouth when you do this…
Forward assist left the chat
Gwwaahg man, the dick measuring is craaazy in here. Stand back bois incredibly average comin in
I thought it bar not bad
It does the same thing. I personally don't use one I just like to spank mine but it's a good tool
Why not just use an AR left handed like they were designed? Bolt catch and release are instantly accessed with left index finger.
I made a video about this over a year ago.
Now induce stress.
Just get a AK
VSO showed a clip of a guy doing exactly that in a hasty reload… He sent an NG down yonder.
Stupid and pointless
they're called "bad" for a reason
As a Lefty, I love my bad lever. There is literally nothing wrong with mine, after at least 15k rounds through that particular AR setup.
Do you really need this do dad? Don’t run empty.
Didn’t think people used these
Wait what? Who in the Fu<k would ever think you pull the B.A.D. Lever back?? 🤔
Phase 5 enters the chat
I prefer to slap the actual release with the ball of my left hand no matter how slow it is it looks too bad ass😂
I’ll stick to my Geissele bolt catch, but thanks anyways.
I’ve never had this problem and I use mine the first demonstration way never accidentally hit the trigger but I also don’t put unnecessary force on it either
Seemed like a good idea then I got one and just couldn't get past the idea of having my finger that close to the trigger when I'm not prepared to fire
I'd just not use it
The fact that some people can't figure it out on their own and instead perpetuate the B.A.D=Bad BS online makes me lose faith in humanity…
Laughs in ADAC lower 😏
Step one: don’t use a bad lever
By the comments you can tell whos actually used one of these or not lmao
🤦♂️
If you are capable of pulling the trigger doing that, you shouldn’t be in this field…
