The CMMG MK47, often called the “Mutant,” is one of the most misunderstood rifles on the market. It blends AR ergonomics with AK magazines and 7.62×39 performance — but that doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone.

In this video, we break down the CMMG MK47 from a buyer-focused perspective, not a history lesson. We cover real-world cost, reliability expectations, recoil, accuracy, ammo considerations, customization, and who this rifle actually makes sense for.

This video is for shooters asking one simple question: Should I buy this rifle?

Whether you’re an AR shooter looking for more punch, an AK owner who hates AK ergonomics, or someone sitting on a stockpile of 7.62×39, this breakdown will help you decide if the MK47 belongs in your safe — or if you should look elsewhere.
