The Top AR-15 In Every Price Range

Best AR-15s by price tier. In this video, we break down the best AR-15 rifles from $500 all the way up to $2000. If you’re trying to decide what rifle actually makes sense for your budget, this should give you a clear idea of what you get as the price goes up. The rifles featured in this video include the Radical Firearms RF-15, IWI Zion-15, Daniel Defense M4 series, and the ADM UIC Mod 2. Each one represents a different tier of the AR-15 market, and as you move up in price you start to see improvements in things like build quality, components, recoil impulse, and overall refinement.

We took some of the rifles we have spent the most time behind and compared them across four common price brackets. The goal was simple: recommend AR-15s we would actually spend our own money on. We talk about what makes each rifle stand out, where the real value is, and what kind of shooter each price range actually makes sense for. If you’re looking for your first AR-15, upgrading from a budget rifle, or just trying to understand what separates a $500 rifle from a $2000 one, this video should help point you in the right direction.

  1. what I would like to see is, budget AR's that offer top teir featuers. such as f ull ambi controls, and sub zero moa, but for a less than $1K price tag. I know they are far and few. However they are out there, and they do exist. they are just small name Mfg's, that gun owners may not be familure with.

  2. I have the 16” IWI Zion 15. Agree great rifle. Paid $971

I also have an 14.5” ADM Mod 1 that cost me $1350 I was confused as fuck when you had it listed at $2000 😂😂😂. That must be a Mod 2 either way great rifles.

  3. 9:26 Men turn into women when you don’t do something the exact way that they would lmao. One of the best things about an AR is that you can set it up specifically how you want. You can’t tell someone that something is wrong lol. Not when it comes to that stuff. If it works. It works. I work with a combat veteran and we shot one day and his setup looked weird to me and even the way he shot his gun was weird. I made a small comment about it and he quickly asked me if I had ever been to war? No sir I have not and I shut the hell up lmao. But it taught me that hey, if it works for you, who is anyone to question it.

  4. No Giessele or BCM? And DD?!?!?? As someone who has owned a few and still has 1. I’m never going to buy another. QC has went down substantially. I upgraded to Giessele and current day BCM over DD. It pains me to say it, but it’s true.

  5. Don’t drink monsters for a year and buy an LMT lmao 😂. I’m just kidding. I think this is realistic for most. Especially for your first one or two. This list will help someone out the gate to their first couple rifles for sure.

  6. Dd over bcm is shocking. Especially considering it’s your favorite and y’all made a video of a cheap ar i think a radical out performing that dd. But it’s yall ranking though.

  7. Wow really disappointing video really out of touch. The DDM4V9 is $2,300, if you're luck you can maybe get it for 2000 on PSA. To put it at the 1500 slot is a joke. What should have been there is a BCM which you can actually get for 1500 (or less) and is just as good as a DD. All you are paying for with DD is the name.

  8. Brought a 16" BCA15 for 350.00 ran 500 rounds through with no issues only thing was the castle nut was loose out the box. Suppressed it with a YHM T3, Super 42 and a Spike Industies BCG… Amazing

Brought another BCA12.5 for 400.00 and put 400 rounds out the box… Amazing weapon. Now I have a AB A10, Sprinco Blue Spring, KynSHOT 5000HP and JP Bolt upgrade.

I have less than 1k in these and will put them against 90% of the AR's on the market…

  9. It’s nice to see you start recognizing DD. In today’s market they are becoming a great buy. I picked up a DD m4v7 with full ambi controls and an up graded enhanced trigger on sale for 1299. That’s tough to beat at that price point

  10. First off lol what did BCM do to yall? Must be a story behind this.
Furniture is overrated. Ruger 556 with a CHF barrel for $600 range is a steal.
All in all, build your own rifle and stop wasting money on over priced guns just because ppl that shoot paper said so.
Nothing wrong with your list other than ANOTHER BCM snub lol

  11. Okay, I’m curious how y’all concluded these 5 were the 5 so far. In the past y’all talk highly of PSA, BCM, Geissle, etc . Clearly, those along with most of these are pretty common examples per price range on most video’s like this. So I’m curious what was the decision process like to conclude these 5 over any you’ve mentioned in the past. TIA. Great video as always!

  12. I think you guys are pretty accurate for pre-built rifles. However, I would generally recommend building one for the best value (and when I say "build one", I don't mean total assembly… more like getting separate upper and lower and some decent add-ons). I built a Franken-Mk18 (legit DD Mk18 upper paired with a budget lower) for less than $1K. Then, when time and budget allow, upgrade the parts that make it nicer (trigger, brace/stock, muzzle device, etc.). But for complete guns, you have some good picks.

  13. Excellent picks, indeed. With that said, the IWI Z-15 Tactical is truly the best battle AR-15 rifle for the money. Extraordinary value in materials and manufacturing, providing both: reliability and accuracy. Although gun snobs "high-rollers" may disagree, the Radical Firearms RF-15 is an exceptional good choice for the money. It may not last 50,000 rounds, but the truth is: MOST of us shoot between 500 to 2000 rounds a year. So, in reality, the 50K rounds lasting rifles are only for professional shooters, and the military, and maybe police (even though, cops don't shoot 5.56 enough, but they use the AR-15 at very close-range distances).
For us civilians, if the rifle gives you 20,000 rounds of range practice, that's excellent, we are fine!
Last, "operators of forklifts" are not equivalent to military special forces operators; there is the distinction 😉
