This is the Global Ordnance 15 upper – a monolithic barreled upper with an adjustable bolt carrier group that fits and runs with your standard AR lower and parts. But how does it perform? We shot it suppressed and unsuppressed, ran a few hundred rounds through it, and grouped it at 100 yards with normal off-the-shelf ammo. The enhanced reliability is what you can expect out of this gun. While it didn’t feel like a precision bench gun, it did feel like a flighting or general-purpose rifle, with a different approach to the barrel and gas system. And for the price point, I think it’s pretty comparable to a lot of the other standard ARs in its market range. The real question, however, is whether this is another industry fad or is this the future of AR15s?

Would the total barrel length be 16"?
Elliott if you shoot this thing suppressed, how do you regulate the gas?
