On Monday, February 23, the House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee is expected to hear House Bill 1324, and the Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to hear the companion measure, Senate Bill 499.
HB 1324 and SB 499 would remove suppressors from Georgia’s “dangerous weapons” list and update state law to ensure that future changes in federal law do not unintentionally prevent law-abiding Georgians from possessing and using suppressors. This legislation is critical to maintaining lawful ownership and preventing conflicts between state and federal regulations.
