Being around the same price as geissele i think id rather grabtheir mk16. If this was around the $200 price point id actually consider it because im already using an aero upper and lower. Still unsure on handgaurd.
What vise mount is that for the installation? I have always just used a midwest reaction rod but this seems VERY secure.
I’ve torqued my crossbolts to 60 in/lbs and the handguard still slightly rotates. Doesn’t seem right. The handguard should tighten on the barrel nut and not rely solely on the set screws correct?
Ummm..you need to secure the upper from the inside with an Upper Receiver Rod or something similar before torquing a barrel nut or muzzle device on, otherwise you risk bending/shearing the pin on the barrel extension or misalignment with barrel extension
Is it recommended to, or not to, use loctite? That's usually something covered in these videos, but I'm just asking for a friend.
Do these hanguards work on the threaded m4 uppers or just the proprietary aero upper?

"torque wrenches can torque in both directions" I don't know if that's true, every torque wrench I've ever had only clicks in one direction, even in this video, it clicks when he is unscrewing the barrel nut, but not when he is torquing it down.
no one ever mentions the center piece that houses the detent ball and spring. the friggin things come loose and then it's done for. what's supposed to hold that piece in the cover itself? that's what I've seen time and time again. that comes loose. it can't fall out because the detent won't let it fall out threw the cover, but it'll sure make a cover annoying

Might be a dumb question, but when performing a hand guard install, can I just use a regular lower receiver/mag well vise block?
I have two torque wrenches, and they don't torque in both directions. Yours doesn't seem to either. When you're tightening the barrel nut, there was no click. But when you loosened it, there was a click.
I will never deal with them ever again. Customer service has gone down hill. I have several uppers, handguards and lowers enhanced version. I have both AR10 and AR15 versions. I ordered some items from them in-stock and their website states the following,
"How long does it take for an order to ship?
Current shipping times are 3-5 days. Please expect higher lead times of up to 1 – 2 weeks for FFL items." That is a bold face lie. I have been waiting for weeks, they have charged my account and my order still says processing. I have tried live chat and calling them for three days. Friday, Monday and Tuesday nothing literally on hold for 7 hours and never answered, live chat for 8 hours with no answer. i started as number 40 in the queue today and in two hours I was number 1 in the Queue and 3 hours later still number one in the Queue no response. So I ended up calling my credit union and disputing the charge with the fraud department. God forbid if I needed to address warranty issues. If anyone wants I have the Chat log and a video on how long I waited with no response. I was a very loyal customer to Aero Precision and recommended them to many of my Military friends. I will even share all the orders I have made with them throughout the years. I am amazed how they went downhill and customer service turned to garbage. So, disappointing. I think you need to update your website with accurate information on how long it will take to ship in-stock items. Currently it states 3 to 5 days. It needs to state 4 weeks to ship in-stock items and another 5 to 8 days for delivery. So, in reality it will take 6 weeks to receive in-stock items.

I just ordered one and to answer most peoples questions ………. YES the riflespeed adjustable gas block DOES FIT under this handguard onnly downside is that you have to use a punch amd punch out the steel qd mounts which is not a big deal you cam just buy mlok ones

I predict Aero Precision will go belly up in the next 6 months. Zero customer service and a lot of pissed off customers that will never buy their products again.
