Today we will be putting the CMMG MK3 up against the CZ Alpha 600, both in 308 at 100 yards with Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr BTHP. Basically a battle rifle setup versus a hunting rifle setup. We will be using both Factory loads and Hand loads.
Enjoy!

Good stuff. Good comparison. Thank you
308 is a fun round to shoot. I use the same components you are using in your reloads with good results. I liked the side by side comparison using commercial vs reload.
Using Hornady 150gr Whitetail Hunter, I am getting better groups than that out my MK3, easily sub MOA @100yds. But I have a 4-12X50 Vortex on mine, I imagine I have a better picture of the target at 100 yards than you get in that LPVO.🤷♂
My MK3 is a braced Banshee pistol version, with the 12.5" barrel, and it is a rowdy little fire breather;😲 how rowdy is the 16" barrel version?
I am considering converting mine to a rifle so I can put a longer stock on it to have a better length of pull and tone down the recoil. But I am also just considering another, more practical tool.🤷♂
It's going to depend on the gas gun. I had an old school bushmaster varminter that would shoot dime sized groups with Barnes burners and Varget.
👍🦃
HEY!!!
I bought a CZ600 308 last month!! Hahahahaha
Good evening T!! 😜🤘🏼🙏
🤟308👍
I'm going to do bullet/group testing with my ZPAP M77 (.308) and M70 (7.62X39) this summer. Need to figure out a camera solution by then. I'm new at this stuff.
I've got a stupid accurate rifle that has a problem with a cold bore first shot too. It's a bit of a pain when varmint hunting.
