Today, January 5th, the California Legislature reconvened for the 2026 legislative session, marking the second year of the two-year legislative cycle. As in years past, gun control advocates are expected to continue pushing their anti-gun agenda in Sacramento. Gun owners and sportsmen must remain vigilant and actively engaged to defend freedom in the Golden State.
Your NRA will continue to fight to promote and protect your right to keep and bear arms and California’s hunting heritage. NRA members remain the most powerful political force in American history, and together, we will work to secure the Second Amendment for present and future generations.
