6 ARC vs 22 ARC: Same AR-15, Very Different Results

Hornady’s 6 ARC and 22 ARC were both built for the AR-15; but they don’t behave the same. One shoots flatter, the other carries serious energy at distance. Supersonic past 1,000 yards, heavier projectiles, and real knockdown power, this is why the 6 ARC still matters.

  1. I wish to god 6 arc would get more popular!! With radians new bolt and extractor design it shouldn’t be a problem anymore!! Although 22 arc is bad af I think it’s still suffers from the same issue. What an incredible couple of rounds!

  2. Well, that's all nice and dandy. But the big difference is the 5.56mm only cost from about $40-$60 for a hundred rounds. Where the .22 ARC Will run you about $130 to $150 for 100 rounds. So almost triple to quadruple the price.

  3. 6mm creedmoor has more velocity and there for energy. Yes you can get an AR-10 in it. Yes an AR-10 weighs more than the AR-15 (~2 lbs) the arc family is out shined by the creedmoors. Unless you have to stay in an AR-15 gust get the Creedmoor of your choice (22, 25, 6mm, 6.5mm) in an AR-10.
