I have a question. I just got this Ruger rimfire .22 lr and I tried cleaning it by using cotton patches and feeding them through the barrel with a drop of multi use solvent on them but I keep getting this brown stuff which I think might be factory grease and theredoesn’t seem to be any less of it on the patches. I tried using a brass brush a few times also but it doesn’t seem to get anything when I put it through and am cautious abt using it more in case I damage something. Am I doing something wrong or should I just keep putting patches through?
Go and buy a Possum Hollow Products bore guide, you can get one with a solvent port for $30 and you won’t regret it. It won’t move back n forth like the one in video
Brake cleaner and a steel brush do just as good of a job.
All yall act as if guns are supposed to be handed down still. The government hates grandfathered guns by the way. I have 2. Both cannot be registered, cannot be traveled with, cannot be used in public, and are 5 other felonys. I literally cannot use the guns my fsther handed down to me. Stop doing this. Just buy your kid his own guns.
wouldnt stick a metal piece in there, just loosely covered with a tissue. If it slips off, the sharp edges of the knurled surfaces on that jag tip are going to f up your barrel. I'd 3d print it out of plastic.
can you recommend a solid complete setup for cleaning my rifles. Everything I've found at the local gun shops is just plastic crap and the the rods aren't even long enough to get all the way down my rifle!!!

Just get a boresnake
you really dont need a jag tip. In the swiss army, we use the brush. just another display pf american perversion and comsumerism.
Tell me you're making videos for people who don't own riflew and put 10k through them without telling me.
Can I hook my drill up to that brush thing?
My brother with his PSA that he’s never cleaned:

Dont go back and forth. Only go in the same direction as the bullet with a bolt gun.

Save your time and money and buy a board snake.
Always use a steel brush.
Who makes that solvent port?
Then you go to McDonald’s
and you start zeroing all over again
