  1. Truth – From Chat GPT on the Canik TTI Combat:
The Canik TTI Combat is a feature-rich, competition-oriented handgun, but early user reports and reviews have highlighted several types of malfunctions and reliability issues, especially during the initial break-in period. Here’s a breakdown of the reported malfunctions, their likely causes, and possible fixes:

🔧 1. Failure to Fire (Light Striker Hits)

    🔹 Symptom:
    • Trigger is pulled, but the round does not ignite.
    • Primer shows light or no indentation.

    🔹 Reported Causes:
    • Weak striker spring or internal friction in the striker/firing pin assembly.
    • Dry or dirty striker channel, especially if the gun has not been cleaned out of factory packing grease.
    • Tight tolerances in the TTI-tuned firing mechanism, which need break-in.

    🔹 Solutions:
    • Disassemble and thoroughly clean and lightly lubricate the striker channel.
    • Some users have installed a heavier striker spring or replaced the striker altogether.
    • Firing a few hundred rounds during break-in often resolves this issue.

⚠️ 2. Failure to Feed / Slide Not Going Into Battery

    🔹 Symptom:
    • Round hangs up while feeding; slide does not fully close.
    • May happen more frequently with full magazines.

    🔹 Reported Causes:
    • Overly stiff recoil spring, especially when using light or non-standard ammunition.
    • Rough feed ramp or tight chamber tolerances.
    • New magazines with stiff springs, which slow feeding when fully loaded.

    🔹 Solutions:
    • Use the lighter recoil spring included with the gun when shooting light/target ammo.
    • Break in the magazines by leaving them loaded or cycling manually.
    • Polishing the feed ramp or chamber (done by a gunsmith) has helped some users.

    🔁 3. Failure to Eject / Short-Stroking

    🔹 Symptom:
    • Spent casing does not eject, or the slide doesn’t cycle fully.
    • Feeds a new round while leaving the old casing in the chamber or ejection port.

    🔹 Reported Causes:
    • Too strong of a recoil spring paired with light ammo results in short-stroking.
    • Inconsistent ammo or poor grip (limp-wristing).

    🔹 Solutions:
    • Switch to the lighter recoil spring if using underpowered or target loads.
    • Ensure proper shooting grip and stance.
    • Stick to full-power factory ammo for initial break-in.

  2. Ran 200 rounds through a TTI Combat I bought in May 2025 and had more than a dozen failures. Failed with every mag. The TTI Combat is a marketing cash grab. 115 and 124 grain did not work with either spring. Don’t buy this gun! You’ll be throwing your money away. Canik and Taran Butler should be ashamed. Can’t compete with it, can’t carry it, can’t use it for home defense!!! Unbelievable!! But it is pretty. LOL!!
