In this video, I compare several EDC flashlights that were sent to me. I also discuss the feature sets that I believe are most useful for 68%ers.

What's that pouch you have the flashlight and multitool in? I've been trying to find something I can better carry my EDC, preferable sideways.
I just started pocket carrying the Olight I3T 2. It's AAA so its slim enough to clip in my back pocket with out feeling it sitting down. It's much handier than being in a off body bag, and I can give it to my son to play with.
You should check out convoy flashlights. I think they would be great for the 68%ers other than the wide selection of emmiter options which can be overwhelming. Most of them have simple user interface and they're budget priced. Love the videos!
I love the look and feel of the olight, but man i love my Braun flashlight that has 2 AAA batteries. It does what i need for $12 and is a metal case.
I recently transitioned over to the Nitecore MT1A Pro and it’s AMAZING. Simple interface, high output, perfect clip and it takes both AA and the included rechargeable 14500. Pretty much the perfect edc light.
Nice
I agree, flashlights with all the extra modes are just "geedunk" or pocket candy. Looks neat, but essentially useless. I hate rechargeable lights, though. If you go to use it and it's dead, you're screwed, and most of these have terrible battery life. At least with normal battery-operated lights, I can just quick change the batteries.
I love my Olight Baton 4 premium with the charging case/battery bank. You can recharge the light about 5 times which is perfect for edc, power outages, and general preparedness. Ohh and it can charge other items. Always loving your content. Keep up the good work sir.
Boy do I hate/loathe the strobe functions on flashlights these days. I’ve settled on the olight baton 2 (I don’t know how it’s still working from the abuse I’ve shown it) and the Arkfield from them, they’ve been great lights for work and edc. The only mod I did was cut off the ball cap clip because it kept getting caught on the seatbelt as I exited my vehicles. Grew tired of it being launched into a parking lot.
Bro, do you sleep?
I know I'm old school, I'm sticking with my Maglite AA battery model. I've been carrying them since I was enlisted in the 80s. I'd feel naked if I didn't have it in my pocket.
I would never try to sell my druthers to another, whatever floats your boat is fine by me, but I like a flashlight the diameter of my forearm that gives me an extra 24 inches of reach. Maybe I grew up watching too many old cop shows. Nice video.
I love you like a box of glazed donuts. I don't need sprinkles or chocolate, I just need some unhealthy energy.
I completely agree on the X4 – I just noted how you were holding it and realized it is too clunky to hold like a pencil, between 3 fingers to precisely point somewhere. The features are useless. I thought it would be a good light for the top of a desk before you said it might fit in an office setting. The S5 is nice, however, I don't like fiddling with the orientation of the light to find the side button, I prefer a tail switch. I have a Temu copy version of the Baton 4 – again, have to fumble to find the side switch, where I found it on in my pocket several times too many. The switch on the Baton 4 looks flush or slightly recessed to prevent accidental turn on, thus making it my preference for a pocket EDS of those shown.
My EDC flashlight is the Olight that takes the AA batteries. 1 click low. 2 high. The light I carry in my tac pack is the surefire tactician
I place my flashlight on my the brim of my ball cap the majority of the time, so having a good reversible pocket clip is essential. Olight is a great flashlight company and I think they make some of the highest quality consumer-grade flashlights on the market, but I don't like their proprietary charging system. I know you said you like it, but I already have a metric crap ton of charging cables laying around, and I'd really like to be able to use them to charge my flashlights instead of adding more Olight chargers to my tangled spaghetti charger pile. 😆
Never enough flashlights for the collection. Fenix is my favourite flashlight. I never liked olight, I've heard some bad things about them.
