You went through the trouble so why not true up the front of the reciever before putting barrel back on and the new Handguard?
I put the up Vmos carrier and silent buffer set up,( like the no recoil Radian build)also did Midwest industries quad rail. Have a sick criterion hybrid 16 inch barrel that has been dimpled. Still haven’t decided on what muzzle device to put on.
How much is the upper
Let’s be honest there’s ZERO reason the geislle rail needs to be that expensive. It’s aluminum, other companies just need to make their rails way thicker

Why the shims under the iron sights?
THE PROBLEM WITH GLUE AND WEILDING IS WHAT IF SOMETHING BRAKES AND YOU NEED TO REPLACE SOMETHING?
By far my favorite rail, got one in fde for $150 as a blem. Took me forever to find out what the issue was, and it seems to be the curves by the set screws was scalloped or ribbed. By no means a hinderance or even an aesthetic problem.
