Here at Half-Cocked Hilbilly, we also like asking age old questions – but unlike the good ol’ boys over at GMM, we wonder if they will blow up. If you want to see more explosions, find out if your gear can survive the zombie apocalypse, and laugh at spicy memes, I would love for you to join in on the fun. From chatting about ballistics to seeing if that one company’s reviews are really up to snuff, we will tackle every item going in your survival box. Beyond the facetious, I want you to walk away with useful training tips, a how-to on caring for your tools, and a better understanding of your rights and obligations as a 2A wielding American. Remember, we’re half-cocked hillbillies, not dumbass rednecks.

Disclaimer: Always follow the four rules of firearm safety, which are listed below:
1. Always treat every gun as if it was loaded.
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
3. Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it
4. Do not point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy (watermelon, good… mother-in-law, bad)
I’ll make you a deal – don’t make me look bad and I wont make you look bad. As gun owners, we are always in the spot light. Don’t do something to give us earned bad press.

  1. I run that same bag in Tarkov, always interesting to see other folks set ups. Would definitely recommend figuring out a way of getting a belt to work for that pistol but I understand that the bag can get in the way

  2. Love the content, glad I found your page! What are you thoughts on having a red dot and magnifier instead of the scope for urban environments? In an urban environment there wouldn't be a ton of long-distance lanes of fire, so having the ability to switch back and forth for short range to medium range shots makes a little more sense in my mind.
