A few highlights from my first super safety video, some slow motion from after that video was shot, details on how the mechanism works, how to assemble the safety into the rifle, and then some clips of 600+ rounds through it in one range session without a single malfunction. I’d like to thank Tim Hoffman for being a genius and also for sharing his incredible design with the world for free as well as Justin Schaul from SMS of Frederick for giving me permission to use their CNC machines to manufacture my own super safety from scratch.

Build parts: PSA 11.5” 5.56 nitride 1:7 upper with lightweight M-LOK handguard, PSA MOE EPT BTR pistol lower, KynSHOT RB5000 hydraulic buffer, Toolcraft 5.56 phosphate full auto BCG, Tubb Precision flatwire carbine spring, Fortis Manufacturing blue enhanced lightweight end plate system, KAK Industries A5 buffer tube, Radian Raptor charging handle, custom built 303 SS super safety; custom built 303 SS + Tungsten bolt carrier reciprocating weight, and custom built 303 SS .73” buffer spacer (the spacer is installed behind the buffer spring and is necessary to use a regular carbine buffer and spring with the longer A5 buffer tube). Also: OTK original Russian-made standard rifle sling, CMC Triggers black aluminum M-LOK accessory kit, Feyachi RS-29 red dot sight, Beileshi 4x optic magnifier, KELEN offset flip-up iron sights, UTG D-Grip foregrip / bipod.

Cost excluding taxes, shipping, fees, ammunition, and custom parts: $1000.30

The A5 buffer tube takes the OAL from barrel tip minus muzzle device to back of buffer tube minus brace to over 26” and makes the UTG vertical grip kosher with the AFT. It’s very important to remain kosher as far as not committing any untoward or unintentional NFA violations goes.
