I have an M4A1 Block I clone with a TA31 RCO that is mounted just in front of the rear BUIS for clone aesthetics, but as for actual functionality with more modern builds, there are much better ways to tackle the eye relief issues.
I’ve got a 14.5” BCM MK2 that has the LED TA02 & Acro P-2 mounted on a WeaponOutfitters KRAM 7.0 on a LaRue Tactical LT681 RCO QD mount with no BUIS, because they’re really not necessary to me.
By mounting the ACOG further back without a BUIS and using the KRAM & LT681 mount, you can easily fix eye relief issues.
There’s also the option of running a 3.5×35 ACOG instead of the 4×32, as I’ve heard plenty of people speak highly about those being out of the box better with eye relief. Of course, the optic is a bit heavier and larger than the more compact 4x32s, so there’s some give and take in that regard, but it just depends on what you want to prioritize and what you’re willing to compromise on.
If you need a rear sight , they sell a spacer, kram that you can use. Even Unity has one. This info has been out forever about mounts and how to use the acog and how the eye relief isn’t like a red dot and training can overcome these issues.
Finally, a sensible and enjoyable short about something I actually want to watch that dosen't have 20 layers of sexual that Youtube thinks I want to watch.
The TA31 ACOG is pretty much bomb proof. Attach the REM ACOG to that and you can illuminate the Reticle in low light situations. It also helps reduce the Reticle bloom in bright sun light. It has 11 brightness settings.
Used an acog on a spear in 308, tried out different eye placements to see if paralax was effecting aim (I didn't realize the tip of the chevron was for 100 yards, not 25)
Anyway, the 308 kicked hard enough to hit my shooting glasses.
When I used loose grip on the gun to see about improving accuracy, it gave me a bruise.
You’re not really moving your sight picture, your sight is just positioned further back. The shooter doesn’t actually have to suffer any consequence, in terms of his shooting posture, as a result of using an ACOG over a red dot 🤷🏽♂️

Take that rear iron off and move the acog back
Acog is overpriced and outdated. Pretty much everything from Trijicon is a rip off
If that optic on that rifle hits you in the eye, you've got bigger issues
I'm looking for a minimum 2x for a ruger 1022. Best acog I've found is 1x-7x. I don't want my closest shots being 4x that is too much zoom.
Is that a glass optic tube that bends up the front of it for site shots?
Big $$$$$

They will be tearing off the Vortex junk and putting these on their new rifles for years and years
I love that scope u don't see to many of them
How to aim with m16 iron sights with a acog
You get 1.5” of eye relief with the TA31, so it really depends on what kind of schnauz you got
M4?
Nose piercings o the charging handle is how we were taught to shoot the M16a1
I like the Elcan myself.
Fart in your hand and smell
Love the ACOG, except when shooting 200 for rifle qual. Never got used to the crotch of the chevron
Iron sights it's nothing when shot or broke learn iron sights
Marine here: love the build, love that scipe

Easy made 500 yard shots. Had to use the 4 line up close. Great optic.
the 3.5x acog has alot better eye relief…like double. Love my 3.5 acog.
What is that wire looking thing that goes across the top?

Why are we not mentioning how good those shots sound 🤤
Where did you get the foregrip

10/10 would shoot again
M16+acog is one of the cleanest set ups.
I don’t understand why people spend $1,000 on a red dot just to brake your neck half of us use red dot risers also

Army training, put your nose on the charging handle. You must be a Civ Div youtuber…
fuck that, i’ll do red dot with magnifier
Mild recoil…. Hahaha!
Durable and exposed electronic ribbons don’t exactly go together. What an absolute design flaw that is. One snag and it’s ripped off
remove the completely useless rear flip up iron and move the acog back where it belongs and youll have a much better time shooting
lol in the army they teach you to make your nose touch the charging handle.
And you're not showing us shit
Brother the fact that u built this rifle in this configuration is a fucking nightmare
If you get scope bopped from something on a 5.56mm you might as well stop shooting at all. If it happens at this caliber, just stop.
That's every scope mister, we'll, almost every scope
