  1. I bought a primary arms red Dot and it shit out instantly. Also bought an ACSS 1×6 scope, the scope works great but the illumination flickers on and off constantly. Moral of the story Primary Arms does not have their shit together in regards the their electronics.

  2. I like the romeo 5 for super cheap. I normally dont use under the romeo 4H because the old 5's used a AAA battery which I hated. Now they use the button batteries. My favorite red dots have to be Mepro's. Not sub $300 but a few are close. Steiner is really good too. Leopold probably has the clearest glass I've ever seen, but the price is really high.

  3. FWIW I love my Sig Romeo 5s for my rifles. Well defined dots, weather sealed, shake awake technology, tough, simple and routinely $119 on sale (and even $99 once). I also like my 6 MOA Vortex Venom on my PPQ for steel matches and fun range stuff.

  4. Is there a reason why the Venom/Fast Fire/Spur and other "open" style micro dots (non-fully enclosed) seem to be limited to 3 moa and above? My dominant eye has an astigmatism and anything above a 1 or 2 moa dot looks like a starburst, but I love the FOV on the open dots. The only exception I can think of is the C-More Railway, which I have, although it has a huge footprint by comparison.

  5. I was weirdly blown away by the clarity of the Ade optics red dots. I bought one on a whim on amazon, and have never been so confused about the price point of an optic in my life. Maybe it is just the battery life is bad? I've shot it a bunch, and had no issues with recoil slide mounted or with heat on my AK mounted on the gas tube. The sacrifice has to be somewhere to produce them so cheaply.

  6. Have you looked at the holosun optics line they seem to be about the same level quality as Vortx but for me I have astigmatism and the nice thing is I don’t get any blooming affect with the holosun
