My first AR build in 2006 was a retro M16 slickside clone that drew a bunch of ire over the years because it wasn't tacted out. Funny to see we've come full circle to retro being back in style.
Isn't C-Products still making the Waffle 20 and 25's?? They used to, and I bought 100 of the 20 round mags back in 2010 when they had them on sale for $2.75 was. If you bought a case of 100..
H&R? That's a name I haven't heard for a long time. My grandfather had a little 949. Owned by PSA? They're already trying to Arm everybody in existence. According to wikipedia, the social media has hinted at M1 Garands? I'm in.
I miss the early 20 rounders we still had in the Air Force with the stainless steel follower. Those worked smooth as glass. Someone offered reproductions & reproductions of the just the SS follower
Ok wait. My Colt A2 has that same exact optic. I have never seen anyone else with one until now! I actually love it, no batteries and accurate as hell. Are these still made? Mine came on a preban colt sporter
I've had an SP1 since 1981. I have 8 of the Colt 20 round mags and also two nylon 20 round ALICE pouches, I think those pouches are worth more than the mags! lol
Even some modern ARs still come with heat shields instead of mlok handguards. Why?!?!? Why would you want a big round hand guard that you can't attach anything to? No flashlights, no vertical grips, less accurate, can't fold the front sight down out of the way and mlok hand guards are thinner and feel better in the hand. I get people want that look and if it's just a collectors item or a range toy, then sure whatever. But I see people getting this as their home defense or SHTF rifles and I gotta ask why? You're choosing form over function?

It’s financially autistic to spend 40 on a mag when 13 gets you quality 30s
Plastic junk
The Armeson OEG was ahead of its time too
What is the optic

That gave me a little nostalgic feeling, remembering back in the day when we(3/75) got our brand spanking new M4 Carbines.
CPD is making a Stainless Steel body mag that's coated gray in 20 rnd.capicty for like 12.00/ea. Im not spending $45.00 and up for AR Mag.

Is that upper receiver "Pre Forward assist" or did this rifle not come with it? 🤔
What's on top of the carry handle?

I have an original US GI 20 round mag my brother's buddy brought back. Faded to almost bare metal but still functions flawlessly.
