Taking out finished (for now) M27 RWK build. Last part needed was the clone of the flip-up sight-less HK 416A5 rail that used by the Marines for their RWK 416s. The real one is unobtanium (black version of the rail is banned from import or something) but will swap it out if I ever get my hands on one.

The rest of the build is based upon a HK MR223A3 import upper on a good ‘ol MR556A1 lower. The oem vented gas block has been replaced with a Nefarious Arms NA5 adjustable one. Barrel was rethreaded from M15x1 to 1/2×28 to fit the NT4 mount directly. Extra bits include a EXPS3-0/G33 combo on a RailScales Monolift riser, NT4 flash hider can, and FP PEQ-16.

The NT4 seemed to play fairly well with the setup on the suppressed setting. Ejection is a bit erratic, but some of that is due to bouncing off the bottom right edge of the Eotech it looked like. However, like most of my other guns running the NT4, can get a bit gassy even outdoors on longer strings of fire. The lower is running all stock bits, including the HK red buffer spring and 5oz buffer.

  1. I always find it funny that the USMC chose the NT4 when KAC was going to release the NT4 PRT. Pairing an extremely over gassed weapon and a high pressure can is a recipe for malfunctions. But if it works it works.
