  1. I bought the Real avid armorers wrench and it's been the most useless thing I think I have ever bought. Other than the birdcage muzzle device, it doesn't fit/work on any other part on my AR's.

  2. If using a crush washer, keep the torque below 30 ft-lbs. More torque may compress the muzzle and cause inaccuracy. If you need more torque to get the timing right, simply sand down the smaller side of the washer using a piece of sandpaper glued to a flat block of wood. Sand in a circular motion until you reach the desired thickness, then install washer and device with a torque wrench. If you use Rocksett, you can go with much lower torque values.

  3. It's been a while since I did mine. I left the weld ugly so it can be seen if checked. I needed 3.5 inches so got a 4 inch muzzle device. And depending on how they measure the muzzle device, muzzle devices usually are less than stated length because threads are included in the length. End up around 16.25.

  4. I've got a 3 prong Wilson Combat flash hider to install on a couple uppers here & on their site they say shims look to be optional as they device is built to even be self tightening once on with the way the prongs are made. Do you add a drop of oil on your threads at all is about my only question so when, say you want to add a "can friendly" muzzle device, you can remove it a bit more easily 🤔Good video 👍
