  1. Edit: update video:

    OP:
Yes, I believe that guns with extraneous levers inside the trigger guard ( safeties not directly integrated into the trigger, and bolt releases) are wrong. Uniform application of logic

I also discussed benefits, first, before I went anywhere. Don’t be information sensitive

  2. As a left handed shooter in a right handed world I both use and appreciate the BAD lever. Sure, I could buy or build a left handed AR, but there are not very many of them and they are significantly more expensive. A $32 part fixes that for me.

  3. It’s not the best solution to the horrible AR operation, but it is better than not doing anything

For reloads, it’s not worth the expense or even the time to install it. For locking the bolt back without having to shuffle your hands around when you have a jamb in the middle of a competition or an actual fight, I think it is worth it.

You can work around it with some effort, but not having to work around it is a better solution. That better solution might be milling the receiver to accept a HK ambi bolt release.

But none of my ARs that did have a BAD lever installed have ever had a bolt catch malfunction. Before the BAD was installed, one of them had the bolt release when the gun was bumped, but I changed uppers and the problem went away. The BAD lever was installed after the new upper and it didn’t bring the problem back.

  4. When you don't know how to run a gun, you don't need it. But when you know how to run a gun, it only makes you faster. If you put it on one your rifles, you better put it on all of your rifles.

  5. I just racked my charging handle while moving my ar-15 in a full circle and did nothing and I have bad lever. Your rifle has worn out parts and needs repaired..all I got from this is haters trying to force mishaps with garbage rifles to prove a point. Fix your weapon and it’ll stop happening

  6. Agreed 100% ! There is no reason, whatsoever, to have your finger inside the trigger guard until you are ready to pull the trigger. Other than that one reason, keep your finger out of the trigger guard.

  7. Holy Crap!
    You look like Ted Cruz!

If i looked like him, id show up to rallies, shake hands with people, say some crazy crap about UFO's, prostitution is taking over America and Scooby-Doo underwear ! 😂

    Then leave.

  8. A lot of AR owners today are "new gun owners" and don't have the same muscle memory when it comes to manual of arms. Regular people have a hard enough time running the other controls on the rifle. I feel the same when it comes to garbage add-on parts like this one.

  9. Love your thoughts and info! Well done and thank you! One negative thing I just thought about is that in a crazy rough situation it could actually get in the way of firing when you need it most. You helped me make the decision of buying a new lower with it built in away from the trigger holy ground. 🙂

  10. Better throw out my m1 garand, damn safety is in the trigger guard shit I can name alot of firearms that violate your issue with other stuff being in that trigger guard 😅

  11. I like my bad lever. It makes things easier for locking the bolt to the rear while keeping my strong hand ready. My only problem with it is people should train without it, because the manual of arms is the best foundation of basic weapon handling, and we should not be comfortable with neat gadget that makes things easier.

  12. I thought they were a bad idea too until I tried one

Now I have them on all my
    ARs
    They’re great
6:25 looks like the problem is with the gun rather than the lever
All my guns that are in spec accommodate the lever perfectly
The M&P 15-22 does not because it’s not really an in spec AR

Also, the lever isn’t inside the trigger guard, (in the sense that you don’t go into the trigger area to get to it)
    It sticks out

This video is filled with hyperbole
