Actually they don’t require the brace. The pistols were out way before the brace was and when she was in elementary school 😂The brace is just optional.

The best thing about America is that we can have both.
Rather then have to make a decision I just have both. As a rule I prefer a rifle over a pistol, but in my state, an AR pistol can be carried in your vehicle loaded while the rifle cannot.
I can shoot both my ar rifle and ar pistol very well. I place the buffer tube against my cheek to fire the ar pistol (10.5 inch in 5.56). Get both if you can.

Nobody should be shooting rounds that come out of AR’s in homes for defense that’s asking for problems you don’t want. Commonsense will tell you to use a shotgun.
Depending on your state an ar pistol can allow you to carry with a loaded chamber, whereas you cannot carry a rifle with a loaded chamber
