you dont want anything that's loud, that wont pierce concealed armor, wont fire 223 AND 22lr, has no rapidfire, no night sights, can't be taken down and concealed in a pack, can't be used (well) with just one arm. you dont want anything that is not camoed and rust-resistannt, wont stope a man in his tracks with one chest hit (at least out to 150m) that is not lw, c ompact, using lw, compact ammo. Nothing comes close to a shorty, silenced AR-15 in 223, with a 22lr conversion unit, using 60 gr Nosler Partition softpoints and 60 gr Aguila subsonic 22 ammo. Scoped, with 69 gr bthp match ammo, match barrel, with a trigger job, free float tube, bipod, it will snipe very effectively to 400m, far beyond what a Garand or m14 can do with iron sights and ball ammo. yet those were considered "long range effective" eh/ When you hold shut the 22 unit's bolt, use the subsonic ammo, and the 223 silencer, the shots are inaudible at 50 FT on a warm day in wooded hills. There's also no flash at ALL from the front of the can or the ejection port. This can brain men, dogs, deer or hogs to 50m and inflect (enventually ) lethal wounds to 125m. with no idea whence came the shots, what will the 'hittee" DO, eh? 🙂 Fire shots wildly in all directions?scream and run around? his fellow looters will put him down to shut him up and to take his stuff.
